Ms. Jacques represents clients in first-party and third-party litigation cases.
Prior to joining Doyen Sebesta & Poelma, LLLP, Ms. Jacques practiced insurance defense at Walters Balido and Crain. She also received 40 hours of mediator training from the South Texas College of Law and worked with the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center in facilitating mediations for the Harris County Justice Courts.
Ms. Jacques earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans; a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from California State University at Dominguez Hills; and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from Georgia State University. Ms. Jacques spent several years of her career in education as teacher and in various administrative leadership positions at the secondary and post-secondary levels developing and implementing policies and programs that focused on improving student retention and success. She then attended South Texas College of Law Houston and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2021.
