Banking & Lender Representation

At Doyen Sebesta our attorneys are skilled business advisors to banks and secured creditors and work to achieve the goals of the client, while protecting the lender’s collateral and satisfying regulatory requirements.

Our integrated practices enable us to provide effective general counsel representation to banks in a wide variety of matters. Our banking clients benefit from our practical experience and legal understanding of not only the structure and regulation governing the banking industry, but also our in-depth understanding of areas outside banking and finance, including employee benefits, intellectual property, labor and employment, litigation, real estate, and estate planning. We commonly represent local and regional banking clients on issues ranging from corporate governance and securities regulation to mergers and acquisitions, employment, bankruptcy, foreclosures, loan workouts, and restructuring. In our role as advisors to our banking clients, we also routinely advise clients on the issues involved in branch purchases, sales and expansions of their branch networks, and solicitation of new capital.

With each of our banking clients, we strive to analyze the unique risks associated with each client’s business portfolio and develop both short-term solutions and long-term plans in this evolving financial environment.
